In late 2022, Suzuki Marine raised the engineering bar in outboard motor design with an integrated steering system in its DF300B and DF350A 4.4-litre V6 models. By eliminating the external steering cylinder, this new internal solution makes rigging easier and more efficient by providing better steering, control and operation. The gearcase also benefits from the redesign with a smaller frontal projected area for improved fuel efficiency and a dedicated fitting for in-water gear oil change*. *Requires a special tool to remove the nut on the bottom of the drive shaft where the pinion gear is located.
